The Big Three

Student-centered priorities for the district — three commitments guiding every decision on the board.

1

Schools Need to Be "Safe Places for Learning"

More than fences — a space to promote positive student, parent, educator, and community interaction.

2

Academic, Social, and Aspirational Goals Are Achievable for All

Each student is guided towards success. Building dreams is hard work and takes many hands.

3

Respect and Honor the Role of Financial Steward

We fund parent dreams and children's futures — I will be the student-centered fiduciary.

Who is Dr. Glover?

Dr. Tom Glover has dedicated his professional life to serving the communities of Chula Vista and the South Bay. Starting as a teacher at Chula Vista Middle, he has served as an administrator at Eastlake High, Southwest High and Hilltop High before serving as the Principal of Eastlake Elementary and Castle Park High. He concluded his career by serving as an Executive level leader in the Sweetwater District as the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources. These experiences give him the ability to appreciate a variety of perspectives from those who are working to better serve students and families.

He and his wife Monica have also sent their two children through Chula Vista schools, and they understand the needs of working parents who rely on the schools to support their values and ambitions for their children's futures.

He is eager to continue his service by providing oversight and direction as a member of the Chula Vista Elementary School Board Seat #5.
